Skin Revitalization/ Focus Lens Array
PicoSure’s Focus Lens Array creates microscopic, photomechanical reactions in the epidermis that communicate with the dermis, leading to increased collagen and elastin in the skin. This breakthrough enables skin revitalization with virtually no downtime—only with our PicoSure laser.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
The PicoSure Laser combined with the Focus Lens array is quick, gentle and effective for penetrating the dermis area under the skin to promote new collagen and elastin growth while also stimulating a non-traumatic tissue healing response (which also has the effect of softening the tissue from acne scars and stretch marks). With only 10% of the skin being treated at the high energy Picosecond focus level during each pulse, the remaining 90% of surrounding tissue is treated with a lower-fluency for a gentler background effect.
THE SCIENCE
The newest advancement in the field of fractional laser skin revitalization is Picosecond Laser Facial Revitalization (PLFR), in which the revolutionary PicoSure laser (the world’s first picosecond laser) is used. A picosecond is a trillionth of a second and refers to the time span of the laser pulse. Laser energy delivered in an ultra-short (picosecond range) energy pulse produces an unprecedented effect on the skin, which results in removal of excessive skin pigmentation as well as stimulation of new collagen production. The most remarkable advantage of PLFR is the non-thermal effect (no significant heat) on the skin, which results in a truly no-downtime, ultra-gentle treatment. Unlike the Fraxel and other fractional laser treatments, there is no need for anesthesia prior to PLFR treatment. The revitalization effects of PLFR treatments are impressive. Age spots are lightened, wrinkles are smoothed and skin texture is improved. Even acne scars are improved after a series of PLFR treatments.
WRINKLES
Wrinkles naturally appear over time as we get older but can also become more apparent due to sun damage, smoking, dehydration, environmental and genetic factors. However, thanks to some great breakthroughs in medical technology, it's easier and more convenient than ever to significantly minimize those wrinkles.
At Advanced Laser Aesthetics, we use PicoSure’s advanced technology to treat wrinkles precisely, efficiently, and painlessly. This wrinkle treatment uses an advanced laser delivery system to target wrinkles and lines that can make you look older than you feel. We are the leading provider of PicoSure wrinkle treatment in the Chicagoland area.
The PicoSure Laser combined with the Focus Lens Array is a faster and more convenient treatment process than skin rejuvenation because:
It can be used to treat uneven skin tones, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentations, freckles, sun-damaged skin, acne scars, and stretch marks.
Offers quicker, visible results after just 1 treatment
Has minimal downtime (Redness only lasts for a few hours post-treatment)
There are no side effects compared to skin rejuvenation and surgical treatments
Requires fewer treatments
FDA approved
For best results, we typically recommend a series of 3-5 treatments 2-4 weeks apart. The Focus Lens Array is safe for all skin types and can be used on the hands, legs, arms, chest, face, and neck.
SKIN REVITALIZATION VS SKIN REJUVENATION
FAQ
-
The system uses super-fast pulses of laser energy transmitted through the skin to the deeper layers of tissue where wrinkles form, stimulating natural tissue regeneration and other healing properties to reduce or eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. Plus, the heat of the laser gently warms surrounding tissues to promote the production of collagen and elastin, two important elements of skin that help it look and feel firmer and more resilient. The focused laser energy also allows for a high degree of precision. Patients can get custom results based on their needs without fear of damaging healthy surrounding tissues.
-
That also will depend on the individual (because each individual is unique) and will be determined on a case by case basis but a series of 3 to 4 is generally recommended. Treatment intervals can be between 2 to 4 weeks but can be up to 8 weeks depending on the skin type and color.
-
For the best analysis and recommendation, a complimentary consultation is required in order to better determine that. Using the PicoSure laser with the Focus Lens array is an excellent treatment option for those looking for softer, smoother skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.PicoSure is the most versatile short-pulse laser in the world, allowing it to treat a wide variety of pigment conditions as well as acne scars and wrinkles. While other aesthetic products and lasers can treat similar conditions, PicoSure is the only way to achieve great results without the pain, redness and downtime.
-
Since everyone is different, it greatly depends on the level of treatment needed. We offer options for providing the most comfortable experience possible for everyone and the best option for you can be determined after a complimentary consultation.
-
Side effects include temporary redness and swelling at the treatment site but redness only lasts for a few hours post treatment and in some cases may linger up to 24 hours.
-
Adverse side effects can include hypopigmentation, hyperpigmentation, mild erythema and edema, and possible scarring and infection. However, by following the post-treatment care guidelines and instructions, these can all be significantly decreased.
