What to Expect

The secret to how the Elite iQ laser works is the clinically-proven technology that targets and destroys cells responsible for hair growth without harming surrounding skin. It’s a simple approach to permanent hair reduction that’s fast, easy, and FDA-cleared. Best of all, treatment sessions can take just minutes. Safe to be used on almost everyone including all skin types and colors as well as on most hair types, the Elite iQ Laser is the intelligent choice for the fastest laser hair removal. Elite iQ emits powerful light energy that targets and heats hair follicles. After the treatment, the follicles are damaged and permanently unable to produce new hair.

How many and how often?

A series of 6-8 treatments is recommended for optimal results in most cases spaced out between 4-8 weeks apart but every patient is different. Because hair grows in cycles, several sessions are necessary in order to affect all hair on any given area. Due to the length of hair growth cycles, treatment cycles are usually needed once every 4-8 weeks (hair cycle length varies depending on body part).

  • In most cases, yes. Laser Hair Removal has become one of the most effective options for permanent hair reduction. However, depending on the individual an additional 1-2 treatments can be expected each year for maintenance.

  • Patients should not wax, epilate, or remove hair with the root using any other hair removal method for at least 6 weeks prior to their first session and throughout their course of treatments. The hair needs to be in place in order to be targeted by laser as laser devices targets the pigment in the hair. Patients should also avoid sun and/or minimize exposure but if necessary, use sunscreen to protect recently treated areas.
